THINGS TO DO @ UC BESIDES GO TO A TEA PARTY

nickoleptic:

campus has been overtaken by elderly white cincinnati tea-partiers wielding tattered maps and matching t-shirts, and almost all hopelessly lost.  it is overwhelming, to put it lightly.

There’s two different student recitals going on @ the College Conservatory of Music Tonight. Starting @ 830! A Masters Recital and a Doctoral Recital!

WELCOME TO CINCINNATI SEAN HANNITY

Today Sean Hannity came to Cincinnati. He was taking his FOX News TV show on the road in honor of Tax Day [April 15 (Today)]. And the Tea Party group who was sponsoring the sojourn booked 5/3 Arena on the University of Cincinnati campus. Since it’s my campus, I feel so honored. Info @ www.cincinnatiteaparty.org

Incidentally, the whole pow-wow was cancelled b/c FOX found out that Cincinnati Tea Party was selling tickets to the event for profits. This obviously has some people (me included) disappointed (not that I had tickets) (not that I knew about this in advance). I wish I had. Like the Ludacris concert at 5/3 Arena that has already sold out. But it’s great that UC is booking such national acts, right? I’m also hoping UC got it’s money from the Hannity crowd.

So. Since Sean is here in town, and since I know Sean loves America, maybe there are some great things he can do with his night off! Welcome to Cincinnati!

SAY WHAT YOU SEE

OKAY,

A. First things first, Cincinnati is beautiful in the spring. Today was ‘that day’ when I could watch every tree turn from brown to green. It’s like the day in the fall when all of a sudden every tree has changed color. So now they’re all a little bit white/pink/red/green. Terrific. Good day for driving!

B. Work was really fun this week. In summary, I did lots of things. I organized 1000 sticky notes on a calendar. I went to meetings. I drafted stuff in Revit. I edited stuff in PhotoShop. I printed drawings. I folded drawings. I rolled up drawings. That list goes on, but overall I felt busier than I ever do at work. I like waking up in the morning to drive there! And people there are nice! Really that’s all that matters.

C. Joanna Newsom is terrific.

D. Say what you see.
