CCR WORLD SERVICE OCT. 15 2009
Blogging tonight from CEDAR’S cafe in Mohandessin. The cafe has become my new favorite hang out here because it has a wonderful atmosphere and free wireless. And indeed I enjoyed a fabulous cup of American Coffee here. It tastes much better than most coffee I have tasted in America.
Updates from today. I registered for my winter quarter classes today at the stroke of 6:00 EST. It’s much easier to register ASAP with the time difference between Cincinnati and Cairo. It was noon here when registration opened and I wasted no time signing up for ARCH Studio, HTC 4, Asian Art History II: Japan, and Modern European AH. I am also pondering signing up for a Silkscreen Studio Fine Arts studio, but am unsure if it’s the right direction to go.
Also new today is an 8 GB USB drive I bought at RadioShack for less than $20.00 in order to back up the photos and videos I’m taking while I am here. Or at least the best ones. It’s concerning to me that if my hard drive for whatever reason failed I would lose the really unique pictures I get to take while I’m here. But it’s all just precautionary. In other adventures today I took two nice cab rides, one to and one from the office. Weather is a balmy 79F here and it’s already 21:45. More to come tonight, including CCR Album Review and a Photo Set from my office.
